• How much does the tour I am interested in cost?

Please note that all prices are dependent on tour preferences/requirements and are on request.

  • What’s included in the price?

All prices are for the vehicle and guide and include pick-ups and drop-offs for up to eight passengers and entrance fees where indicated.
Lunches, drinks and refreshments are not included in your tour fee.

  • How long do tours last and when do they start?

Length of tour and start times vary depending on the tour. All day shared or bespoke tours usually begin between 08:30 and 09:00 and finish late afternoon.

For the Highlights Tour ( up to 4.5hours) start times are designed around cruise ship schedules.

  • Where can we get lunch or snacks and drinks, will you organise it?

For all day tours, I will be very happy to book a local restaurant or cafe for lunch. Any specific dietary needs can be catered for. If you want to purchase drinks and snacks we can stop at a number of shops en route. Alternatively feel free to bring your own packed lunch for day tours.

The Highlights tour (4.5hours) has been designed to ensure you maximise your time in Orkney and see as much as possible in the given time. As such, there is no lunch stop however you can pick up on-the-go refreshments, payable at the time

  • Where will my party be met and dropped off?

I will meet you at your hotel or if you are arriving by cruise liner at the port.

For cruise ship customers, we provide a pier side pickup and drop off service. Graham will be at the Pier to greet you and holding a Graham's Orkney Tours name board. At the time of booking, please let us know which ship you are arriving on.

Kirkwall Pier (Anchorage): After you disembark from the tender boat, your guide/driver will meet you as you come up the pier and take you to your vehicle. If you miss each other, the Meet & Greet Staff on the pier will help and direct you to us. Please allow sufficient time for tendering.

Hatston Pier: On arrival to the pier, after you disembark from the ship, please let the Meet & Greet Staff on the pier know you are on a private Graham's Orkney Tour. Your Guide will be called onto the pier to pick you up.

  • Can you help us where to go?

No problem. I will try to ensure that whatever you wish to experience during your time in Orkney is made possible. I will suggest itineraries to you that meet your requirements, and I can make any necessary reservations so all you have to do is relax and enjoy what Orkney has to offer. Please go to the Bespoke page where you can find more information about this.

  • We want a tour away from the main attractions. What do you suggest?

Orkney has plenty of space and fantastic scenery. I would be delighted to take you on one of my mystery detours to show you some of my favourite locations off the beaten track.

  • What if the weather is dreadful, will you cancel the tour?

No. We would not cancel because of bad weather. Because the weather in Orkney can be changeable we advise guests to check the forecast for the day of their tour and ensure they have with them waterproof clothing and appropriate footwear.

  • Are there any breaks on tour?

Yes. We will stop to allow guests comfort breaks and photo opportunities as often as you wish.

  • Can I take luggage with me?

Limited to one small rucksack or bag per person.

  • Can I reserve a specific seat?

Sorry, no. All seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please be assured that all seats have ample leg room and visibility.

  • What about insurance?

Graham’s Orkney Tours has insurance meeting all statutory requirements.
We strongly recommend that passengers hold comprehensive and suitable travel, medical and cancellation insurance to cover their period of travel.
